BOSTON, Mass. - A top team performance by senior Tim Richard (Attleboro, Mass.) led the Holy Cross men's cross country team to a 25th place team finish at the New England Championship in Boston, Mass. on Saturday afternoon. UMass-Lowell took first out of 47 teams, while AIC's Glarius Rop led the field with a time of 24:22.
Richard finished in 62nd place with a time of 25:50 to lead the Crusaders. Sophomore Dan Altenau (Eastchester, N.Y.) was the second Holy Cross runner across the line in 70th place with a time of 25:53. Sophomore Cory Loftis (Branford, Conn.) followed Altenau with a time of 26:00, while freshman Kevin Turner (Charlton, Mass.) was the top rookie across the line with a time of 26:43
Holy Cross will take a week off before traveling to the Central Connecticut Mini Meet on Oct. 24. The race is set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
