At the Harvard Open, junior Chase Kennedy (Marblehead, Mass.) finished 10th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.01, improving on last season's 12th place finish in 52.84 seconds in the same race.
Three members of the Holy Cross track and field team were honored by the Patriot League for their performances at the Harvard Open. Senior Andrew Maggio (Chelmsford, Mass.) was named Patriot League Track Athlete of the Week for his sixth place finish in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.14 seconds, freshman Eric Oldiges (Taylor Mill, Ky.) was named Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week for his fifth place finish in the shot put open division with a throw of 12.51 meters and freshman Ben Brink (New Rochelle, N.Y.) earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors for his time of 4:44.96 and 28th place finish in the one mile run.
The Crusaders continue competition over winter break at the Boston University Mini Series on Dec. 20, Dec. 27 and Jan. 3.
