Three Men's Track & Field Athletes Earn League Honors

WORCESTER, Mass. - Three members of the Holy Cross men's track and field team earned Patriot League honors for competition, Dec. 8-14. Senior Andrew Maggio (Chelmsford, Mass.), freshman Eric Oldiges (Taylor Mill, Ky.) and freshman Ben Brink (New Rochelle, N.Y.) were honored by the Patriot League for their performances at last weekend's Harvard Open. These are the first Patriot League Weekly honors for all three athletes.
Maggio was named Patriot League Track Athlete of the Week for his sixth place finish at the Harvard Open in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.14 seconds, Oldiges was named Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week for his fifth place finish in the shot put open division with a throw of 12.51 meters and Brink earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors for his time of 4:44.96 and 28th place finish in the one mile run.
Holy Cross continues competition over winter break at the Boston University Mini Series on Dec. 20, Dec. 27 and Jan. 3.
