Nathaniel Couture Named Crusader Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore Nathaniel Couture (Taunton, Mass.) has been named the Holiday Inn Express Crusader of the Week, for competition from April 3-9. Couture had a strong weekend for the Holy Cross men's outdoor track and field team at the New Hampshire Wildcat Invitational in Durham, N.H.

In Saturday's meet, Couture won the javelin with a throw of 54.99 meters. He defeated the rest of the field in the event by nearly eight meters, as Brian Sundell of St. Anselm placed second with a throw of 46.44 meters.

Couture has now won the javelin in each of his last three meets. He previously earned first place finishes at the Southern Connecticut State Invitational (58.70 meters) and the Northeastern Snowflake Classic (55.21 meters).

The Holy Cross men's outdoor track and field team returns to action this Saturday, April 15, when it takes part in the Solomon Husky Invitational, to be held at Northeastern's Solomon Track in Dedham, Mass.
