Track & Field Competes At Boston U. Mini Meet

Boston, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's and women's track and field teams competed at weekend two of Boston University's Mini Meet series. Only six events were run in Saturday's meet, including the 200m, one mile, 400m, 800m, 3000m and pole vault. Sophomore Olivia Pruszko (Monroe, Conn.) and junior Lauren Courtney (Ashland, Mass.) took first and second in the 200 meter race.
Pruszko took first in the 200 meter race with a time of 26.22, Courtney followed closely behind with a time of 26.62 finishing second. Junior Sophia Grammenos (Gardner, Mass.) finished the 200 with a time of 27.58. Courtney and Pruszko also ran the 400m. Pruszko finished with a time of 57.98 and Courtney 58.09.
On the men's side, Sophomore Chase Kennedy (Marblehead, Mass.) ran the 200 meter race in 23.82 along with freshman Peter Early (Haverhill, Mass.) with a time of 23.66. Kennedy was also in the 400 meter race, finishing with a time of 51.90. Sophomore Jason Baillio (Franklin, Mass.) accompanied Kennedy in the 400m with a time of 51.13.
The men's and women's teams will travel to Boston University on Saturday, December 29, for the last day of the Boston U. Mini Series. The meet is set to start at 10:00 a.m.
