Men's Track & Field Finishes Sixth At Patriot League Championship

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Senior Brad Mish (Hadley, Mass.) placed second in the 5,000 to lead the Holy Cross men's track and field team to a sixth place finish at the Patriot League Championship in West Point, N.Y. on Saturday, May 2. Holy Cross finished sixth with 24 points. Army finished first with 234 points, while Bucknell finished second with 151.50. Navy and Lafayette finished third and fourth.
Mish took second in the 5,000 with a New England Championship qualifying time of 14:51.77. Senior Kevin Lucid (New Providence, N.J.) finished eighth with a time of 15:06.79. Senior Andrew Maggio (Chelmsford, Mass.) placed seventh in the 200 dash with a time of 22.41, while Kyle Mushaweh (Woodbury, Conn.) finished eighth with a time of 22.59. Junior Chase Kennedy (Marblehead, Mass.) finished 13th in the 400 with a time of 52.17, while freshman Dan Altenau (Eastchester, N.Y.) finished 11th in the 3,000 steeple chase with a time of 9:52.32.
Holy Cross finished seventh in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:26.37. Running on the relay was Kennedy, Maggio, senior Sebastian Fidelus (Jersey City, N.J.) and sophomore Connor LaClair (Hyde Park, Vt.).
Qualifying members of the men's track and field team will compete at the New England Championship on Friday-Saturday, May 8-9, in Amherst, Mass.
