WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's track and field team hosted a home track meet on Tuesday, featuring New Hampshire, Quinnipiac, Rhode Island and Worcester State. Taking first in the meet was Rhode Island with 245 points. The Crusaders placed third with 120 points and 13 top five finishes.
Leading the team was senior Thomas Harrison (Wilmington, N.C.) with two first place finishes in the long jump with a distance of 22'0.75" and in the triple with 45'11.25". Second place finishers were Sebastian Fidelus (Jersey City, N.J.) in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.49, Brad Mish (Hadley, Mass.) in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:08.18 and Kyle Rougeot (Cross River, N.Y.) in the 5000-meter run with a time of 15:13.86.
The Crusaders compete again on April 27 at the Brown Springtime Invitational. The men start at 9:30 a.m., while the women begin at 1:00 p.m.
