Competition Concludes At 2007 HC Decathlon & Heptathlon

WORCESTER, Mass. - Competition is now complete at the 2007 Holy Cross Decathlon & Heptathlon. In the women's heptathlon, Natasha Smith (unattached) took first place with a total of 4,517 points. In the men's decathlon, Steve Blum of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy captured first place with 6,197 total points.

For the men, Holy Cross sophomore Benjamin Jerome finished in 20th place with 4,387 points, while junior Matthew Kaili came in 22nd with 3,637 points.

On the women's side, a pair Crusaders finished in second and third place. Sophomore Alexandra Swiatocha (Mahopac, N.Y.) claimed second with 4,098 points, while senior Kerilyn Anderson (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) finished in third with 3,632 points.

Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, April 21, when it plays host to a meet beginning at 11:00 a.m.
