DURHAM, N.H. - Freshman Henry Bradford (West Bridgewater, Mass.) finished first in the javelin throw to lead the Crusaders in the field events as the Holy Cross men's track and field team competed at the Wildcat Invitational in Durham, N.H. on Saturday, April 4.
Seniors Kyle Mushaweh (Woodbury, Conn.) and Andrew Maggio (Chelmsford, Mass.) teamed up to lead the Crusaders in the sprint events. Mushaweh finished third in the 100 dash with a time of 11.18 seconds, while Maggio finished fourth with a time of 11.22 seconds. In the 200 dash, Maggio finished second with a time of 22.71, while Mushaweh finished third with a time of 22.84.
Freshman Cory Loftis (Branford, Conn.) led Holy Cross in the distance events with a second place finish in the 5,000 with a time of 15:40.96. Senior Matthew Talbot (West Hempstead, N.Y.) took fourth in the 3,000 steeplechase with a time of 10:48.20
In the field events, Bradford finished first in the javelin throw with a distance of 50.59 meters. In the discus throw, senior Jonathan Medeiros (New Bedford, Mass.) finished third with a distance of 38.83 meters and sophomore Kenneth McKenna (Ossining, N.Y.) took fourth with a distance of 37.12 meters.
The Crusaders continue outdoor competition at the Northeastern Invitational hosted by Northeastern University in Dedham, Mass. on Saturday, April 11 starting at 10:00 a.m.
