Crusaders Compete at New England Championships

Boston, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's indoor track and field team competed at the New England Championships hosted by Boston University, Friday-Saturday, Feb. 25-26.

Junior Robert Leader (Leominster, Mass.) placed eighth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.28 seconds to earn All-New England status.

The Crusaders 4x400-meter relay team placed 10th with a time of 3:21.42.

In the weight throw event, sophomore Nicolas Carr (Concord, Mass.) came in 14th with a toss of 14.77 meters.

Senior Brendan Kearney (Haddonfield, N.J.) finished 18th in the 800-meter run preliminaries with a time of 1:56.38.

In the 5,000-meter run, senior John Nieskens (Peterborough, N.H.) finished 19th, clocking a time of15:10.21.

The Crusaders next compete at the ECAC Indoor Championships Saturday-Sunday, Feb. 5-6 in Boston, Mass.
