Holy Cross Competes at Patriot League Championship

Bethlehem, Pa. - The Holy Cross men's indoor track and field team competed at the Patriot League Championships, Friday-Saturday, Feb. 19-20.

In the 400-meter dash, junior Robert Leader (Leominster, Mass.) finished third with a time of 50.55 seconds. Leader qualifies for the New England Championships.

Senior Brendan Kearney (Haddonfield, N.J.) qualified for the New England Championships after clocking 1:57.47 in the 800-meter dash.

Placing 10th in the 5,000-meter run, senior John Nieskens (Peterborough, N.H.) qualified for the New England Championships.

Sophomore Nicolas Carr (Concord, Mass.) placed sixth in the weight throw after heaving 15.97 meters.

The 4x400 meter relay team, consisting of seniors Sean Flood (Clive, La.) and Kearney, and juniors Patrick Jones (Danvers, Mass.) and Leader, finished fifth with a time of 3:28.99.

The Crusaders next compete at the New England Indoor Championships Saturday-Sunday, Feb. 1-920, in Boston, Mass.
