BOSTON, Mass. - In the weight throw, senior Stephen Mandravelis (Nashua, N.H.) had a distance of 15.03 meters which was good enough for a 17th place finish, while in the shot put, senior Jonathan Medeiros (New Bedford, Mass.) finished in 18th place with a throw of 13.73 meters, to lead the Holy Cross men's indoor track and field team at the Valentine Invitational, held at Boston University. No team scores were kept at the meet.
Senior Sebastian Fidelus (Jersey City, N.J.) finished in 26th place in the 500 meter dash with a time of 1:06.35, while in the 3,000 meter run, junior Kyle Rougeot (Torrington, Conn.) placed 47th with a time of 8:40.87. Junior Chase Kennedy (Marblehead, Mass.) finished in 56th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.22. Senior Andrew Maggio (Chelmsford, Mass.) had a time of 22.87 in the 200 meter dash which was good for a 61st place finish. In the 800 meter run, senior Stephen Schoenberger (North Hampton, N.H.) finished in 61st with a time of 1:58.36, while freshman Stephen Madsen (New Providence, N.J.) placed 85th with a time of 1:59.83.
Freshman Thomas Martin (Sutton, Mass.) finished in 18th place in the triple jump with a distance of 12.11 meters. Sophomore Kenneth McKenna (Ossining, N.Y.) placed 20th in the shot put with a throw of 13.34 meters, while he also earned a 23rd place finish in the weight throw with a distance of 14.02 meters.
The Crusaders return to action when they will compete in the Patriot League Championship from Feb. 20-22 in Annapolis, Md.
