Men's Track & Field Takes Ninth At Reebok Indoor Games

Boston, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's track and field team took part in the Reebok Indoor Games on Friday night at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston. In a strong field of 11 teams, the Crusader men took ninth place.

Leading the way for Holy Cross was junior Nicholas Carr (Concord, Mass.), who continued his solid indoor season with a third place finish in the weight throw event with a career best distance of 53-02.25. Carr qualified for the New England Championships with the performance.

Also turning in a good performance was senior John Nieskens (Peterborough, N.H.). Nieskens finished fourth in the 5000-meter run with a personal best indoor time of 14:56.94. Nieskens also qualified for New Englands with his time.

The men will travel next to Orono, Maine on Saturday, February 4 to take on the University of Maine.
