Holy Cross Competes At Fordham Invitational

New York, N.Y. - The Holy Cross men's indoor track and field team sent several members of its respected team to the Fordham Invitational on Friday, Jan. 7.

The top men's runner was senior Brendan Kearney (Haddonfield, N.J.), who placed ninth in the men's 1000 meter run with a time of 2:34.53.

Another distance runner, Bernard Ozarowski (Haddonfield, N.J.) came in 12th in the men's 3000 meter run, clocking 9:56.20.

Junior Stephen Virgilio (Portland, Maine) jumped 3.96 meters in the men's pole vault for sixth place, while newcomer Conor Meikle (Newport, R.I.), also hit 3.96 meters for eight place.

Thrower Nicholas Carr (Concord, Mass.) heaved the shot put 12.49 meters to place seventh.

Junior Michael Yatco (Williston Park, N.Y.) finished 15th in the men's 800 meter run with a time of 2:03.08. Teammate Sean Dougherty (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) placed 17th with a time of 2:04.70 in the event.

In the men's 400 meter dash, junior Christopher Morris (Old Brookville, N.Y.) finished 17th with a time of 52.77. Not far behind Morris was sophomore Christopher Bier (Rockville Centre, N.Y.), who place 19th with a time 53.19.

The Crusaders travel to New Haven, Conn. for the Yale Invitational, Friday-Saturday, Jan. 14-15.
