- The Holy Cross men's track and field team will take on Maine this Saturday, Feb. 2, at 11:30 a.m. in Orono.
- Last season, the Crusaders fell to the Black Bears by a score of 116.50-63.50. Sophomore Mike Galasso (Danvers, Mass.) won the 500-meter and graduate Dan Altenau added another first place finish in the 3,000-meter run. Three other returning Crusaders recorded second place finishes including junior Thomas St. Cyr (Temple, N.H.) and sophomores Trevor Dutton (Burlington, Mass.) and Sean Carey (Newburyport, Mass.) in the 55-meter hurdles, 1,000-meter run and weight throw, respectively.
- Dutton, sophomore Vuong Tran (Worcester, Mass.), freshman Tim Dunn (Fords, N.J.) and the 4x400-meter relay team comprised of Galasso, Dutton, junior Sam McGrath (Tyngsboro, Mass.) and junior Nick Athanasidy (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) each set new season team-best marks at last weekend's Joe Donahue Invitational. Dutton ran the 800 in 1:55.34, Tran set a career-best time in the 60-meter dash at 7.13 seconds, Dunn improved the pole vault height to 4.10 meters and the 4x400 relay team finished in 3:23.78.
