- Select members of the Holy Cross men's indoor track and field will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 15, at the first of three scheduled Boston University Mini Meets beginning at 10:00 a.m. Last season, members of the team competed in three mini meets on Dec. 17, 24 and 31.
- The Crusaders are coming off the Harvard Open (12/8) where sophomore Trevor Dutton (Burlington, Mass.) led the team with a second place finish in the 500-meter with a time of 1:06.19. Dutton was named M-F Athletic Patriot League Male Track Athlete of the Week for his performance, finishing within a second of the IC4A standard in his first ever collegiate 500-meter race. It was the first career conference award for the sophomore and the first time any Holy Cross men's track and field athlete has won M-F Athletic Male Track Athlete of the Week since the 2008-2009 season.
- Four Crusader freshmen have already found their way to the top of the 2012-2013 performance list. Tim Dunn (Fords, N.J.) has the top team time in the 60-meter hurdles (6.50H seconds) and top team height in the pole vault (3.80m). Rob Cacace (Yonkers, N.Y.) leads the long jumpers (5.81m) and shot putters (12.27m). Christopher Faries (Rye, N.Y.) leads the team in the triple jump (11.85m) while Jim Polewaczyk (Falmouth, Maine) holds the best time in the 400-meter (52.82 seconds).
