WORCESTER, Mass. – Twenty-one members of the Holy Cross men's track and field team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll as announced by the league office, including senior Chase Bradford (West Bridgewater, Mass.) who was named to the honor roll for the fourth time. Sophomore Sam McGrath (Tyngsboro, Mass.) led the team with a 3.93 grade-point average in the spring semester.
The other members of the team named to the honor roll were seniors Dan Altenau (Eastchester, N.Y.) and Stephen Madsen (New Providence, N.J.); juniors Nick Poles (Quincy, Mass.) and Kevin Turner (Charlton, Mass.); sophomores Brian Brazeau (Warwick, R.I.), Kyle Carr (Westerly, R.I.), Ben Dapaah-Afriyie (Attleboro, Mass.), Sean Hagan (Reading, Mass.), Greg Hamalian (West Bridgewater, Mass.), Matt McCormick (Needham, Mass.), Tom Santa Maria (Winchester, Mass.) and Dylan Villescas (Las Cruces, N.M.); and freshmen John Cicchitti (Warminster, Pa.), Jake Griffin (Billerica, Mass.), Nolan Kiernan (Wakefield, R.I.), Matt Muilenburg (Mountain Lakes, N.J.), Nick Parsons (Tewksbury, Mass.), Tommy Richey (Chevy Chase, Md.) and Joseph Seebode (Clark, N.J.).
A total of 184 student-athletes from men's track and field teams around the league were named to the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League-sponsored winter or spring championship sports.
