LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Holy Cross men's track and field team competed in the second day of competition at the Patriot League Championship at Bucknell on Saturday as senior Chandler Fenner (Virginia Beach, Va.) led the way for the Crusaders finishing third in the semi-final of the 60 meter dash. Fenner placed first in his qualifying heat crossing the line at 7.01 seconds and bettered that time in the semi-final to 6.96 seconds and qualified for the final.
Sophomore Tim Moczula (Edison, N.J.) finished tied for 10th in the preliminary of the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.71 seconds while fellow sophomore Ross Davies (Salem, N.H.) finished 12th in the 200 meter dash crossing the finish line at 22.76 seconds. The 4x800 meter relay team consisting of freshman Trevor Dutton (Burlington, Mass.), senior Stephen Madsen (New Providence, N.J.), sophomore Nick Athanasidy (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) and sophomore Sam McGrath (Tyngsboro, Mass.) took fifth in the final with a time of 7:45.05.
Senior Michael Millard (Manhasset, N.Y.) finished the second and final day of the heptathlon in 12th place with a score of 3,967 points.
Bucknell sits atop the scoreboard after two days of competition with a total of 56 points. The men's track and field team will conclude Patriot League Championship action tomorrow, Feb. 19 with events scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
