Crusaders Set For American International Invitational

  • In lieu of the Rensselaer Invitational, which was cancelled due to weather, select members of the Holy Cross women's track and field team competed at the Worcester City Championship last Saturday. Junior Chase Bradford (West Bridgewater, Mass.) led the Crusaders with a first place finish in the javelin throw, with a personal-best distance of 57.26 meters, qualifying for the New England Championship. This is Bradford's first time qualifying for the New England Championship. Senior Kenneth McKenna (Ossining, N.Y.) placed sixth in the hammer throw, throwing a distance of 45.43 meters, while junior Kyle Carr (Westerly, R.I.) threw a distance of 39.87 meters to earn ninth place.
  • The Crusaders will continue the outdoor season this weekend, competing at the American International Invitational in Springfield, Mass. This is the Yellow Jackets' first time hosting the American International Invitational. At the meet, the Crusaders will look towards qualifying for the New England Championship and ECAC Championship. Bradford sets his sights towards the IC4A Championship, needing to throw an additional distance of 1.44 meters in the javelin throw to qualify.
