Men’s Track & Field Eighth In Patriot League Preseason Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's track and field team was selected to finish eighth in the 2011 outdoor track and field Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Army garnered eight first place votes and 91 points to edge out Navy, which got 86 points and five first place votes, for first place. The Mids won the final two events at the indoor championship in February to dethrone the defending champion Black Knights.

Bucknell was selected third with 81 points and three first place votes, while Lehigh was voted fourth with 57 points. Lafayette was selected fifth with 50 points and American followed with 40. Colgate (28) and Holy Cross (15) rounded out the poll.
