Track & Field Announces Outdoor Schedule
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr., along with head men's coach Jim Kavanagh and head women's coach Egetta Alfonso have announced the 2011 men's and women's outdoor track and field schedule. The Crusaders are set to kick off outdoor competition on March 19 at the Husky Spring Open hosted by Northeastern University.
Holy Cross will then compete at the Rensselaer Invitational on March 26, followed by the American International Invitational on April 2. The Crusaders will travel to New Hampshire on April 9 and compete at the Minuteman Invitational on April 16. The Crusaders will host their annual heptathlon/decathlon meet at the Hart Track on April 20-21 before welcoming AIC, Central Connecticut, Hartford, Maine, and Stonehill to the Hart Track on April 23. The men's team will host a meet on April 26 with New Hampshire, Quinnipiac, Rhode Island and Worcester State.
Both teams will compete at the Brown Springtime Open on May 1. The Crusaders kick off the championship portion of the schedule at the Patriot League Outdoor Championship in Easton, Pa. on May 6-7. Qualifying members of both teams will compete at the New England Championship on May 12-14, while others will be competing in the IC4A/ECAC Championship on May 13-15 in Princeton, N.J.
