Men's Track & Field Set For Boston Indoor Games

  • The Holy Cross men's track and field team returns to team competition at the Boston Indoor Games hosted by Northeastern University on Friday, Jan. 28. Competition will occur at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston starting at 4:00 p.m.
  • A year ago at the Boston Indoor Games, New Hampshire won the team competition with 95.50 points, while Holy Cross finished 15th out of 18 teams. On the track, senior Brendan Medeiros (Fall River, Mass.) led the Crusaders, scoring a 10th place finish in the 1,000 with a time of 2:34.46. In the field, Holy Cross was led by a seventh place finish in the pole vault by junior Michael Millard (Manhasset, N.Y.). Millard cleared a height of 3.95 meters and in the weight throw senior Kenneth McKenna (Ossining, N.Y.) finished 16th with a distance of 12.45 meters.
  • At New Hampshire last weekend, Medeiros finished first in the 1,000 with a season-best time of 2:33.3, while junior Alex Martin (Sutton, Mass.) took first in the triple jump. Junior Stephen Madsen (New Providence, N.J.) also recorded a season best time of 1:09.50 in the 500.
