Crusaders Set To Travel To UNH

  • The Holy Cross men's track and field team returns to team competition with a triangular meet at the University of New Hampshire on Saturday, Jan. 22. The Crusaders will compete against UNH and Quinnipiac starting at 12:00 p.m. at the Paul Sweet Oval in Durham, N.H.
  • A year ago against UNH, Holy Cross fell to the Wildcats by a score of 124-51. Senior Connor LaClair (Hyde Park, Vt.) placed second in the 400 with a time of 54.64 seconds and sophomore Kevin Turner (Charlton, Mass.) took first in the 1,000 with a time of 2:03.08.
  • At the Sorlein Memorial Invitational, junior Alex Martin (Sutton, Mass.) recorded a personal-best distance of 13.89 meters in the triple jump. Senior Chris Bergan (Shrewsbury, Mass.) earned AT&T Crusader of the Week for his personal-best time of 8:55.54 and first place finish in the 3,000, while junior Stephen Madsen (New Providence, N.J.) ran a season-best time of 1:58.96 in the 800 and sophomore Nick Poles (Quincy, Mass.) ran a season-best time of  1:09.64 in the 500.
