  • The Holy Cross men's track and field team continues action over the winter break when it travels to the Yale Invitational at the Coxe Cage in New Haven, Conn., on Saturday, Jan. 15.
  • A year ago at the Yale Invitational, senior Tim Paquette (Malden, Mass.) finished 15th in the men's weight throw with a distance of 10.87 meters. Paquette recorded his best distance of the 2009-2010 season at the dual meet against UNH, recording a distance of 11.93 meters. This season, Paquette set a personal-best distance of 12.15 meters at the Holy Cross New Year's Field Day on Jan. 4.
  • At the Crowell Open last weekend, junior Stephen Madsen (New Providence, N.J.) and freshman Nick Athanasidy (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) competed in the 1,000. Madsen finished sixth with a time of 2:37.28, while Athanasidy finished 11th with a time of 2:47.94. Madsen's time in the 1,000 was a team-best and personal-best.
