Holy Cross Men’s Track & Field Eighth In Patriot League Preseason Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's track and field team was selected to finish eighth in the 2010-2011 indoor track and field Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league.

Army, which won its 14th title last season, earned 11 first place votes and 95 points to finish atop the preseason poll. Bucknell (82) and Navy (81) followed with one point separating the two. The Bison, who finished six points behind the Black Knights at last year's championship meet, earned three first place votes, while the Mids garnered two.     

Lafayette was selected to finish fourth with 60 points and Lehigh was fifth with 51 points. American (38), Colgate (21) and Holy Cross (20) rounded out the poll.

The Crusaders kick off the 2010-2011 indoor season at the Alden Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 4, hosted by Brown University.
