LEWISBURG, Pa. – Senior Tiffany Reid (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) finished first in the 100 and 200 dashes and ran in the first place finishing 4x100 and 4x400 relays as the Holy Cross men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up competition at the Patriot League Championship in Lewisburg, Pa. on Saturday afternoon. The women's team claimed fourth in the team standing with 80 points, while the men's team finished eighth.
Reid finished first in the 100 with a time of 12.05 seconds and took first in the 200 with a time of 24.39 seconds. Teammate junior M. Siobhan Straub (Mattituck, N.Y.) raced against Reid in both events, taking fifth in the 100 with a time of 12.77 seconds and sixth in the 200 with a time of 26.03 seconds.
Sophomore Erin Linnehan (Litchfield, N.H.) placed third in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.76 seconds and sophomore Paige Sutherland (Groveland, Mass.) placed second in the 5,000 with a time of 18:00.83. In the 800, sophomore Katelyn Hartnett (Danvers, Mass.) placed second with a school record time of 2:12.49. Junior Cassandra Anderson (Saugus, Mass.) finished third in the 800 with a time of 2:15.93. In the 400 hurdles, senior Olivia Pruszko (Monroe, Conn.) placed fifth with a time of 1:04.82, while freshman Brittany Gorski (Tewksbury, Mass.) placed sixth with a time of 1:05.05.
Freshman Melanie Forte (Milford, N.H.) and junior Caitlin White (Miller Place, N.Y.) teamed up with Reid and Straub to take first in the 4x100 relay with a time of 47.97 seconds. Pruszko, Gorski, Reid and Anderson finished first in the 4x400 relay with a school record and ECAC qualifying time of 3:48.97.
Qualifying members of the men's and women's track and field teams will compete at the New England Championship on Friday-Saturday, May 7-8 and at the ECAC/IC4A Championship on Friday-Sunday, May 14-16.
