Men's Track & Field Takes Fourth At Home Meet

WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore Dan Altenau (Eastchester, N.Y.) took first in the 1,500 with a personal-best time as the Holy Cross men's track and field team hosted its final home meet of the season Tuesday afternoon at the Hart Track. The Crusaders finished fourth out of five teams, while New Hampshire won the team competition.

Altenau took first place in the 1,500 with a personal-best time of 4:02.91. Freshman Kyle Shepard (White Plains, N.Y.) placed third in the event with a time of 4:06.80. Junior Brendan Medeiros (Fall River, Mass.) finished second in the 800 with a time of 1:57.31, while sophomore Stephen Madsen (New Providence, N.J.) placed third with a time of 1:58.18.

In the field events, sophomore Michael Millard (Manhasset, N.Y.) cleared a height of 3.85 meters in the pole vault, high enough for fourth place and sophomore Alex Martin (Sutton, Mass.) jumped a distance of 13.18 meters in the triple jump to earn fourth place.

The Crusaders will travel to Providence, R.I. for the Brown Springtime Invitational on Sunday, April 25 starting at 1:00 p.m.
