WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore Henry Bradford (West Bridgewater, Mass.) placed first in the javelin and sophomore Dan Altenau (Eastchester, N.Y.) finished first in the steeple chase to lead the Holy Cross men's track and field team to a fourth place finish at the Hart Track Sunday afternoon. Holy Cross finished fourth out of seven teams with 90 points, while Maine took home the team title with 198 points.
Bradford claimed first in the javelin with a throw of 53.11 meters. Altenau, together with teammates Brendan Medeiros (Fall River, Mass.) and Kyle Shepard (White Plains, N.Y.) swept the 3,000 meter steep chase with times of 9:21.55, 9:43.95 and 9:47.92 respectively.
Sophomore Michael Millard (Manhasset, N.Y.) finished second in the pole vault with a height of 3.81 meters, junior Kenneth McKenna's (Ossining, N.Y.) finished fifth in the hammer throw with a distance of 43.90 meters and sophomore Alex Martin (Sutton, Mass.) took fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 13.43 meters.
Senior Timothy Richard (Attleboro, Mass.) finished second in the 5,000 with a time of 15:15.39, junior Connor LaClair (Hyde Park, Vt.) placed sixth in the 400 with a time of 51.51 seconds, sophomore Stephen Madsen (New Providence, N.J.) took seventh in the 800 with a time of 1:58.19 and junior Doug Moringiello (Garden City, N.Y.) finished sixth in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 18.62 seconds.
Holy Cross will host its second home meet of the season on Tuesday, April 20 at the Hart Track at 3:00 p.m.
