  • The Holy Cross men's track and field team returns to central Massachusetts for the UMass Invitational in Amherst, Mass. on Saturday, April 10.
  • The team last competed in Amherst in 2007, where senior Nicholas LeBlanc (New Bedford, Mass.) finished fourth in the shot put with a distance of 13.64 meters and senior Chase Kennedy (Marblehead, Mass.) placed sixth in the 400, crossing the line with a time of 52.35 seconds.
  • Junior Connor LaClair (Hyde Park, Vt.) finished with two top 10 performances and two personal-best times at the Wildcat Invitational on Saturday, April 3. LaClair ran a personal-best time of 11.88 seconds in the 100, finishing in ninth. In the 200, LaClair finished in seventh place with a personal-best time of 23.50 seconds.
  • At the Dick Shea Open, sophomore Dan Altenau (Eastchester, N.Y.) ran a personal-best time of 9:35.16 in the 3,000 meter steeple chase. Altenau finished second in the event and knocked almost 17 seconds off his personal-best from a year ago. Altenau’s time ranks seventh on the Patriot League performance list.
