Men’s Track & Field Selected Eighth In Patriot League Preseason Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men’s track and field team was selected to finish eighth in the 2010 outdoor track and field Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Army, who won its 14th Patriot League Indoor Championship this year, topped the preseason voting with 98 points and 14 first place votes. Bucknell and Navy tied for second with 80 points apiece. Lafayette was voted fourth with 58 points, Lehigh fifth with 46 points, American sixth with 38 points, Colgate seventh with 26 points and Holy Cross eighth with 22 points.

The Crusaders open the 2010 outdoor season on Saturday, March 20 at the Husky Spring Open in Dedham, Mass. Holy Cross will compete in the Patriot League Outdoor Championship on April 30-May 1 in Lewisburg, Pa.
