WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr., along with head men’s coach Jim Kavanagh and head women’s coach Egetta Alfonso have announced the 2010 men’s and women’s outdoor track and field schedule. The Crusaders are set to kick off outdoor competition on March 20 at the Husky Spring Open hosted by Northeastern University.
Holy Cross will compete at the RPI Invitational on March 27, travel to New Hampshire on April 3 and compete at the UMass Invitational on April 10. The Crusaders will host their annual heptathlon/decathlon meet at the Hart Track on April 14-15 before welcoming Central Connecticut, Colgate, Hartford, Maine, Rensselaer and Vermont to the Hart Track on April 17. The men’s team will host a meet on April 20 with New Hampshire, Quinnipiac, Rhode Island and Worcester State.
Qualifying members of both teams will travel to the Penn Relays on April 22-24, before the teams compete at the Brown Springtime Invitational on April 25. The Crusaders kick off the championship portion of the schedule at the Patriot League Outdoor Championship in Lewisburg, Pa. on April 30-May 1. Qualifying members of both teams will compete at the New England Championship on May 6-8, before competing in the IC4A/ECAC Championship on May 14-16 in Princeton, N.J.
