Crusaders Set For Valentine Invitational

- The Holy Cross men's track and field team will travel to the Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 9:00 a.m. This will be the Crusaders' final regular season meet before the Patriot League Championship on Feb. 19-21 in West Point, N.Y.
- At last year's Valentine Invitational, the Crusaders were led on the track by senior Kyle Rougeot's (Torrington, Conn.) 47th place finish in the 3,000 with a time of 8:40.87. Rougeot's time was his fastest of the indoor season, while his time of 8:36.47 at the 2008 Valentine Invitational remains a career-best.
- Senior Timothy Richard (Attleboro, Mass.) ran a season-best and team-best time of 8:42.88 in the 3,000 at last week's Maine Open. Richard also owns team-best times in the one mile (4:24.23) and 5,000 (14:52.98).
- Multiple Crusaders hit season-best and team best marks at last week's Maine Open. Senior Brendan Medeiros (Fall River, Mass.) finished with a team-best time of 1:09.07 in the 500, freshman Kevin Turner (Charlton, Mass.) had a team-best time of 2:01.00 in the 800 and senior Nicholas LeBlanc (New Bedford, Mass.) recorded a team-best distance of 13.65 meters in the shot put.
