WORCESTER, Mass. - Twenty-one members of the Holy Cross men's track and field team have been selected to the 2009 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office, including senior Stephen Schoenberger (North Hampton, N.H.) who earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in the spring semester. He was one of eight student-athletes on the men's track and field Academic Honor Roll to have a 4.0 average. Schoenberger, senior Sebastian Fidelus (Jersey City, N.J.), senior Andrew Maggio (Chelmsford, Mass.) and senior Terrence Regan (Northport, N.Y.) made the Academic Honor Roll for the fourth time. Holy Cross' 21 selections were the second most in the league.
The other members of the team to be named to the honor roll were seniors Kevin Lucid (New Providence, N.J.), Stephen Mandravelis (Nashua, N.H.), Jonathan Medeiros (New Bedford, Mass.), Brad Mish (Hadley, Mass.) and Matthew Talbot (West Hempstead, N.Y.); juniors Kyle Rougeot (Torrington, Conn.) and Andrew Veale (West Hartford, Conn.); sophomores Chris Bergan (Shrewsbury, Mass.), James Fletcher (Woburn, Mass.), Patrick Grogan (Hudson, Mass.), Connor LaClair (Hyde Park, Vt.) and Doug Moringiello (Garden City, N.Y.); and freshmen Henry Bradford (West Bridgewater, Mass.), Ben Brink (New Rochelle, N.Y.), Jack Heinrich (Tulsa, Okla.), Cory Loftis (Branford, Conn.) and Stephen Madsen (New Providence, N.J.).
A total of 129 student-athletes from men's track and field teams around the league were named to the honor roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League sponsored winter or spring championship sports.
