  • The Holy Cross men's tennis team will conclude the fall season this week. On Thursday, Oct. 16, at 4:00 p.m., the Crusaders will host Clark in an exhibition match, while they will then host Boston University on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 11:00 a.m. Sophomore Matt Wierzel (Garden City, N.Y.) and senior Jay DeSanto (Dalton, Pa.) will also compete at the ITA Northeast Regional on Oct. 16-18 in New Haven, Conn. Wierzel will compete in singles, while they will also compete as a doubles team.

  • Freshman Chris Das (Melrose, Mass.) has had an impressive fall season as he is 3-0 in dual matches, while Wierzel has a 2-1 record in dual matches at No. 1 singles.

  • Wierzel and DeSanto are 1-1 in dual matches as a doubles team, while juniors Dan Phelan (Chicopee, Mass.) and John Burke (Burlington, Mass.) are also 1-1.

  • Boston University is 0-1 in the fall as they fell to Hofstra, 4-3, while Holy Cross lost to Hofstra, 5-2.
