Men's Tennis Places Five On Academic Honor Roll

WORCESTER, Mass. - Five members of the Holy Cross men's tennis team have been selected to the 2008 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office, including junior Jay DeSanto (Dalton, Pa.) who led the Crusaders with a 3.93 grade-point average in the spring semester. Holy Cross' five selections were tied for the most in the league.
The other members of the team to be named to the honor roll were senior Matthew Vicidomino (Dover, Mass.), junior Angelo Sica (Chester, N.J.), sophomore Dan Phelan (Chicopee, Mass.) and freshman Kevin Leggio (Coram, N.Y.).
A total of 30 student-athletes from men's tennis teams around the league were named to the honor roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the 16 League-sponsored winter or spring championship sports.
