Men's Tennis Ranked Seventh in Preseason Poll

Worcester, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's tennis team was picked seventh in the Patriot League Preseason poll on Thursday afternoon. Army took the top spot with 69 points and nine votes for first place. Navy took a close second in the poll with 65 points and five first place votes. Holy Cross received 13 total points.

Holy Cross returns to the Patriot League after playing independent of any league for the past five seasons. In the 2006 spring season, the Crusaders went 2-11. In the 2006 fall season, Holy Cross went 1-3 winning over Merrimack on September 16.

The Holy Cross men's tennis team starts their season on Saturday, February 10 at 7:00 pm when they take on Fairfield at the Stamford Indoor Tennis Facility in Stamford, Conn. Matches are set to begin at 7:00 pm.
