Holy Cross Drops 6-1 Decision To Fordham

WORCESTER, Mass. - In its first home match of the 2007 spring season, the Holy Cross men's tennis team was defeated by Fordham 6-1. The Crusaders fall to 1-6 in the spring season with the loss, while the Rams now stand 3-3 this spring.

Senior Brian Kelly (Winchester, Mass.) won his second straight match at No. 2 singles, to earn lone victory for Holy Cross. Kelly defeated the Rams' Mike Misiti 6-1, 6-1. The No. 3 doubles team of sophomore Jay DeSanto (Dalton, Pa.) and senior Tom Moran (Concord, N.H.) also put in a strong showing, dropping a close 9-7 match to Ben Ehrman and Sotiris Georgiou.

The Crusaders are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 14, when they face Colgate in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
