Crusader Men Fall 7-0 To Quinnipiac

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Holy Cross men's tennis team, coming off a solid win over Sacred Heart on Saturday, could not handle Quinnipiac on Sunday morning. The Bobcats swept all six singles matches and the three doubles matches to win 7-0.

Quinnipiac dominated the singles matches, never giving up more that sets in any match. Junior Marco Lombardo (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) gave the best Crusader effort, but fell 6-2, 6-2.

In doubles, seniors John Deaver (St. Louis, Mo.) and Colin Missett (Southington, Conn.) gave Quinnipiac the best match, 8-4, but could not get the win.

The Holy Cross men are scheduled to take on Rhode Island next on Wednesday, March 1 at 3:30 p.m. in Worcester.
