Men’s Tennis Places Four On Academic Honor Roll
WORCESTER, Mass. – Four players on the Holy Cross men's tennis team earned a spot on the 2014 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office. Headlining the list is senior Chris Brosnan (Garden City, N.Y.), who earned the accolade four consecutive years.
The other three members named to the honor roll for the first time in their careers were sophomore Charlie Volkwein (Surry, Maine), and freshmen Elmar Lutz (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) and Jimmy Ye (Boston, Mass.). Ye boasted the highest GPA on the team with an impressive 3.78 grade-point average.
A total of 49 student-athletes from men's tennis teams around the league earned spots on this year's Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a grade point average of 3.20 or better during the spring semester.
