WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. and head coach Evan Gaudreau have announced the 2013 Holy Cross men's tennis spring schedule. The team will start the season on Feb. 9 at Southern New Hampshire.
The following week, the squad will play Salve Regina on Feb. 16 in Falmouth, Mass. and then a weekend series at Coast Guard on Feb. 23 and St. Francis (Pa.) on Feb. 24 in Manchester, Conn. After a month-long hiatus, the team will play three Patriot League opponents. On March 22, the Crusaders will take on Army. The following day, Holy Cross will face Lafayette and Lehigh, with both matches played at West Point, N.Y. The team will conclude the month with a match at Boston University on March 26.
In April, the team will begin the month at the Sinnot Tennis Facility when it takes on Siena on April 5. The Crusaders will stay in Worcester for their next match on April 10, as they will host American International. On April 12, Holy Cross will head to St. Anselm, before it concludes its regular season on April 14 at home versus Sacred Heart.
Holy Cross competed in two tournaments during the fall 2012 season as it hopes to improve on its 3-9 record from 2011-2012. Senior co-captain Jeff Paadre (Western Springs, Ill.) and junior co-captain Ryan Sullivan (Medfield, Mass.) will lead the Crusaders in the spring as they look for many great performances from junior Chris Brosnan (Garden City, N.Y.), sophomore Nick Berrettini (Haverford, Pa.) and freshman Rich DeGregoris (Rockville Centre, N.Y.).
