WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's tennis team placed seven players on the 2012 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office, including seniors Chris Das (Melrose, Mass.) and Ajeya Shekar (Shrewsbury, Mass.) who each earned their fourth selection to the honor roll. Shekar was also one of six men's tennis players from around the league to record a 4.00 grade-point average or better in the spring semester. The Crusaders tied for the second most selections.
The other members of the team to be named to the honor roll were senior Dan Sheehan (Huntington, N.Y.), junior Jeff Paadre (Sutton, Mass.), sophomore Chris Brosnan (Garden City, N.Y.), sophomore Connor McCann (Centerville, Mass.) and freshman Nick Berrettini (Haverford, Pa.).
A total of 44 student-athletes from men's tennis teams around the league were named to the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a winter or spring sport student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester.
