Men's Tennis Returns To Action In Early April

  • The Holy Cross men's tennis team will take a break in action until Tuesday, April 3 when it hosts AIC for an afternoon contest. The Yellow Jackests will visit Worcester for a 3:30 p.m. match-up on the Holy Cross Tennis Courts.
  • The AIC Yellow Jackets are 0-1 on the spring after dropping a 9-0 decision to Stonehill in their last match. The squad is also 0-3 on the road, last losing away at Bentley on March 29. The Crusaders are on a three-game win streak against AIC, winning 7-0 last spring, 6-1 in 2010-2011 and 7-0 in 2009-2010. Two Crusaders won their first career matches last season as sophomores Matt Straface (Western Springs, Ill.) and Brandon Ynayan (New York, N.Y.) took victories in the No. 5 and No. 6 singles spots respectively.
  • Sophomore Chris Brosnan (Garden City, N.Y.) kept his win-streak going as he won the No. 4 singles match against Clark last week. His victory is the fourth on the season, recording a team-high. Brosnan also teamed up with fellow sophomore Connor McCann (Centerville, Mass.) for a win at No. 3 doubles against the Cougars. The win is their third together this season as they post an overall winning record in doubles, 3-1.
