Men's Tennis Breaks Until After Spring Break

- The Holy Cross men's tennis team will take a break in action until after spring break, hosting their first home match of the season on Friday, March 23 against cross-town opponent Clark. The match will be held on the Holy Cross Tennis Courts beginning at 4:00 p.m.
- The Crusaders and Cougars last met in the 2010 fall season with Holy Cross coming out with a 5-2 win. The Crusaders won five of the singles matches as sophomores Ryan Sullivan (Medfield, Mass.), Chris Brosnan (Garden City, N.Y.),Connor McCann (Centerville, Mass.) and senior Ajeya Shekar (Shrewbury, Mass.) all tallied straight set victories. Clark opens up its spring schedule on March 6 and will play in six matched before making the trip across town. The squad lost its only match of the fall season and currently stands with a 0-1 record.
- Brosnan tallied the men's lone point in action over the weekend, winning his No. 5 match against Lafayette on Saturday morning. The last Crusader to post a point against a Patriot league opponent was junior Scot Brownell (Plymouth, Mass.) who won by default against Lehigh in 2010. Former Crusader Matt Wierzel was the last team member to post a point against Lafayette, winning the No.1 singles match against the Leopards in 2009.
