  • The Holy Cross men's tennis team opens up Patriot League play on February 26, traveling to West Point, N.Y. for two matches against host Army and Lafayette. Holy Cross first plays Army at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday. The match against Lafayette is also on Sunday and will be played at 2:00 p.m. Both matches will be played on Army's Malek Courts.
  • Holy Cross has lost to Army in the last six meetings, including a 7-0 defeat last season. The Black Knights have shut out the Crusaders in the last six meetings, winning by the exact 7-0 score. The teams have competed annually since the 2005-2006 season.
  • Lafayette defeated the Crusaders last season and won 7-0 two years ago. The last time a Holy Cross team posted one point against the Leopards was 2009, when former tennis player Matt Wierzel topped Lafayette in the No. 1 singles match. The team lost 6-1.
  • Sophomores Ryan Sullivan (Medfield, Mass.) and Chris Brosnan (Garden City, N.Y.) picked up the squad's first point of the fall, winning their singles matches against Coast Guard. Sullivan earned his first win of the season at No. 2 singles while Brosnan solidified his first No. 6 singles victory.
