  • The Holy Cross men's tennis team returns home for two more dual matches this upcoming week. Cross-town based Clark will come to the Holy Cross Tennis Courts first, as the match is set for Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 3:30 p.m. The squad will then host Siena on Sunday, Oct. 3, starting at 1:00 p.m.
  • The Clark Cougars travel to Worcester for the first time in Holy Cross tennis history. They have a 0-1 record so far in dual match play after falling to Stonehill, 6-3, on Sept. 15. They most recently participated in the ITA Division III Regional Championship, sending two competitors to participate.
  • The team will then host Siena on Sunday afternoon. The Saints won, 6-1, last season on their home courts, as senior Matt Wierzel (Garden City, N.Y.) remained undefeated in singles action. He defeated Michael Amico at No. 1 singles 7-5, 6-4. Siena is currently 1-3 on the season, having lost to Hofstra, 5-2, the last time out. They will play Connecticut and Rider in dual-match competition before traveling to Worcester.
  • Sophomore Jeff Paadre (Sutton, Mass.) saw his first action of the season at the Connecticut Tennis Invitational this weekend, making it to the second round of his bracket. He became the only Crusader to make it out of the first round, winning by default in the flight D singles bracket against Bucknell. He would then fall in the second round, 6-4, 7-5.
