Mens Tennis Places Five On Patriot League Academic Honor Roll
WORCESTER, Mass. – Five members of the Holy Cross men's tennis team have been selected to the 2010 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office. Senior Dan Phelan (Chicopee, Mass.), an Economics major, earned the honor for the third time in his career.
Sophomores Chris Das (Melrose, Mass.), Dan Sheehan (Huntington, N.Y.) and Ajeya Shekar (Shrewsbury, Mass.) were named to the honor roll for the second consecutive year, while freshman Jeff Paadre (Sutton, Mass.) earned his first honor.
Colgate led all Patriot League schools with seven student-athletes making the Academic Honor Roll. Lafayette added six student-athletes to the list while Bucknell, Holy Cross, Lehigh and Navy each followed with five. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
