WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's and women's swimming and diving squads placed 28 student-athletes on the 2006 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by league officials. Junior Kevin Mullaney (Livingston, N.J) led the Crusaders with a 3.93 grade point average during the spring semester, the fifth-highest mark in the conference. A total of 98 student-athletes were named to this year's women's honor roll, while 83 were named to the men's academic honor roll.
In addition to Mullaney, representing the men's team are seniors Hugh Hayden (Lincolnshire, Ill.) and Matthew Talucci (Cherry Hill, N.J.); junior Matt Frigault (East Freetown, Mass.); sophomores Andrew Ferrara (Ann Arbor, Mich.) and Chris Smith (West Haven, Conn.); and freshmen David Drummond (Swampscott, Mass.), Matthew Grogan (Allenwood, N.J.), Brian Hendrickson (West Hartford, Conn.), Kevin Kitson (Chappaqua, N.Y.), Ian MacLaren (Cortez, Colo.) and John Ringwood (Cheshire, Conn.).
Representing the Holy Cross women's team are seniors Colleen Connors (Dedham, Mass.), Michaela Lincoln (Blackstone, Mass.), Whitney Schmitt (Norwell, Mass.) and Allison Yoho (New Fairfield, Conn.); juniors Aislinn Kelly (Sandwich, Mass.) and Jen Knapp (Katonah, N.Y.); sophomores Erica Archer (Schenectady, N.Y.), Andrea Doherty (Needham, Mass.), Courtney Pinkham (Clark, N.J.) and Rachel Quaden (Chelmsford, Mass.); and freshmen Dana Jorgensen (New City, N.Y.), Ali Lincoln (Fitchburg, Mass.), Erica Little (Attleboro, Mass.), Katie Loughlin (Leawood, Kan.), Mary-Elizabeth Maher (Milford, Mass.) and Katherine Marone (West Hartford, Conn.)
To be eligible for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter.
