Crusaders Close Out Regular Season, Prepare For Championships

  • Holy Cross closed out the regular season, falling to Bryant, 139-123, on Feb. 3 and Boston College, 151-134, on Feb. 5.

  • Before the start of the meet against Bryant, Holy Cross honored seniors Rob Acker (Ames, Iowa), David Drummond (Swampscott, Mass.), Dan Kennedy (Bolton, Conn.), Brian Hendrickson (West Hartford, Conn.), Ian MacLaren (Cortez, Colo.), Brian Lasonde (East Longmeadow, Mass.), Andrew Sherwood (Unadilla, N.Y.), Sean O'Reilly (Bronx, N.Y.) and Mike Marquet (Reston, Va.) for their commitment and hard work as members of the swimming and diving team.

  • Against Boston College, freshman Adam DeVito (Walpole, Mass.) took first and reset the school record in the one meter board with a score of 282.23.

  • The Crusaders begin preparing for the Patriot League Championships held in Lewisburg, Pa. on Feb. 19-21.

  • Last season at the Patriot League Championships, Holy Cross finished eighth. Junior Joshua Rodriguez (Dudley, Mass.) finished 14th in the one meter dive with 180.30 points. Junior Brian Livingston (Auburn, Wa.) led the Crusaders with a 15th place finish in the 100 breast with a time of 1:01.37. Livingston also finished 16th in the 200 breast with a time of 2:16.95. Junior Aaron Brosnan (Westford, Mass.) finished 16th in the 100 fly with a time of 53.61.
