Holy Cross Set To Host Worcester City Championships

  • Holy Cross is preparing to host the Worcester City Championships on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 23-24. Last season the Crusaders scored 414 points to defeat Clark and WPI and claim their fourth Championship.

  • At the 2008 Worcester City Championships, junior Joshua Rodriguez (Dudley, Mass.) took first in the three meter diving competition with a score of 170.17 and on the one meter board with a score of 187.05. Rodriguez was named men's diver of the meet. Junior Brian Livingston (Auburn, Wash.) took first in the 100 breaststroke and set a new school record with a time of 1:03.08 and junior Aaron Brosnan (Westford, Mass.) finished first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 53.67.

  • Against Boston University on Jan. 13, freshman diver Adam DeVito (Walpole, Mass.) took first in the one meter diving competition scoring 247.80 and reset the three meter school record with 268.65 points.
