KINGSTON, R.I. - Freshman Adam DeVito (Walpole, Mass.) led the Crusaders with two top five finishes at the Harold Anderson Invitational hosted by the University of Rhode Island on Saturday, Dec. 6. The Crusaders took sixth out of seven teams at the invitational.
DeVito led the Crusaders with a second place finish on the three meter board with a score of 253.10. Junior Joshua Rodriguez (Dudley, Mass.) took fourth with a score of 166.95. On the one meter board, DeVito took fifth with a score of 174.40.
In the breaststroke events, junior Brian Livingston (Auburn, Wash.) finished seventh in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:04.01 and sophomore Sean Hager (Westfield, N.J.) took ninth in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:25.57.
Junior Joseph McShane (Chatham, N.J.) and junior Ryan Boate (Pleasantville, N.Y.) led Holy Cross in the freestyle events. McShane finished seventh in the 100 free (49.48), 10th in the 200 free (1:50.61) and 11th tying a season-best and personal-best in the 50 free (22.84), while Boate placed eighth in the 1000 free with a season-best time of 10:51.75 and 13th in the 500 free with a time of 5:17.93.
Holy Cross returns to action after the winter break when it takes on Boston University on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009 in Boston, Mass.
